Bettabets is a South African bookmaker run by Bettagaming Mpumalanga (Pty) Ltd, licensed by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator under licence 9-2-1-09303. Alongside the online site, it runs a network of betting branches around the country, the kind of retail footprint most online-only SA betting sites don’t have.
What stands out
- Top Up Vouchers redeem in nine denominations, from R2 to R5,000, sold at retailers and Bettabets branches nationwide.
- Instant EFT deposits run through Peach Payments, including Ozow.
- Cash Send withdrawals pay out to a Standard Bank Instant Money or FNB eWallet number within 24 hours, no bank account needed.
Deposits and withdrawals
Vouchers are the cheapest way in, redeemable straight into a betting account. Bettabets also takes Visa and Mastercard credit cards, Direct EFT for clients with internet banking, and Instant EFT through Peach Payments, which sets its own R50 minimum. A voucher deposit has to be played through in full before any winnings can be withdrawn, and card deposits need a photo of the card’s front sent in before the money clears.
Withdrawing needs your ID and proof of residence on file first, if Bettabets hasn’t already verified them. EFT withdrawals start at R50 and settle within 24 hours of the request, subject to banking hours. Cash Send pay-outs to Standard Bank Instant Money or FNB eWallet start at R300, also within 24 hours, capped at R3,000 a day and R25,000 a month across both channels.
Odds and markets
On the competitions OddsBash tracks, we scan Bettabets’ football match result and total-goals prices, with lines at 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 goals.
The margin and coverage figures above are measured from odds Bettabets actually published. They refresh with every scan.
Good to know
- Vouchers can’t be redeemed, refunded or exchanged for cash.
- Bettabets also runs a numbers game, Aviator-style games and casino products. OddsBash measures the sportsbook only.
