Kingbets is a South African sportsbook operated by King Bets (Pty) Ltd under a bookmaker licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. It runs on BetConstruct’s Swarm platform, the same backend behind Betshezi, Zarbet and GBets among the sites OddsBash tracks, but answers with the platform’s own default price feed rather than a customised one.
What stands out
- Kingbets’ odds come straight off BetConstruct’s shared Swarm feed with no local override, the same shape GBets and Play.co.za use.
- On the competitions OddsBash tracks, Kingbets has priced FIFA World Cup soccer, the Rugby Nations Championship, Wimbledon’s Men’s Singles and UFC fight cards.
- Deposits go through Ozow, a card facility and two voucher brands, OTT and 1Voucher; Kingbets explicitly doesn’t accept plain EFT transfers or cash.
- FICA verification includes a liveness selfie taken with your ID, on top of the usual ID and proof-of-residence documents.
Deposits and withdrawals
Kingbets’ own merchant-information page confirms deposits through Callpay Instant EFTX, a Peach credit card facility, Ozow Instant EFT, and two voucher brands, OTT and 1Voucher. The same page rules out plain bank EFT, direct debit and cash deposits entirely. No minimum deposit figure is published outside the app itself.
Withdrawals need FICA first: an ID document, a liveness selfie holding that ID, and proof of residence, taking up to 48 hours to clear. The minimum withdrawal is R100; Kingbets doesn’t publish a maximum outside the app.
Odds and markets
On the competitions OddsBash tracks, Kingbets has priced FIFA World Cup 2026 soccer, the Rugby Nations Championship, Wimbledon’s Men’s Singles and UFC 329, plus the Women’s T20 World Cup once its season starts. That spans soccer, rugby, tennis, MMA and cricket from one shared feed. The margin and coverage figures above are measured from odds Kingbets actually published. They refresh with every scan.
Good to know
- The WCGRB’s own register lists the operator as “King Bets (Pty) Ltd”, two words, though the site brands and trades under one: Kingbets.
- No app-store links appear anywhere on the live site, consistent with guide-site claims that Kingbets runs from a mobile-optimised website rather than a native app.
- Kingbets also runs casino games (King Spins, live casino) alongside the sportsbook. OddsBash measures the sportsbook only.
